If homecare is the type of care you have decided is best for you, you may well be confused about the difference between fully managed and introductory care agencies.
When you are looking for care, it can be a worrying and stressful time. You will want to be assured that your loved one is well looked after, safe and secure.
Promedica24 is a fully managed live-in care agency and we’ve put together the top benefits which will give you peace of mind that you are receiving the best quality care possible.
Introductory care agencies are not registered with England’s regulator of health and social care services, the Care Quality Commission (CQC). This is because they don’t deliver regulated care themselves, but the care is delivered by a self-employed care worker (who is introduced to you). They are therefore not responsible for the care delivery, whether it is good or bad.
All of our services are CQC registered so you can rest assured you are receiving a quality service. All inspection reports are available to view online, and they provide a detailed overview of the CQCs most recent inspection, as well as the rating.
At Promedica24, we recruit all of our staff and ensure they receive ongoing training, development and support. If there is an issue with the care you receive, you will have a point of contact with our care team, rather than just your care worker, to resolve the issue as soon as possible.
Payments and holiday
We manage all payments to your care worker, meaning you don’t have to worry about paying them directly. This is something you would need to do if the care worker was self-employed. We would also provide guaranteed cover for your care worker’s annual leave or sickness, so you don’t have to worry about sourcing alternative care yourself.
Personalised care package
Our care team work with you and your family to build a dedicated and bespoke care plan centred around your needs and wants. The care team will fully monitor the service you receive, and visit at least once per month to check everything is ok with you and the care worker. This type of support would not normally be offered through an introductory care agency.
